Ripe Delray: a dieter’s dream restaurant

It’s no secret that I have been on a weight loss journey for the majority of my adult life. Some days are easier than others. But the hardest part is usually dining out at restaurants, as my willpower does not often stand a chance against a delicious dish.

Enter Ripe Delray, a new restaurant that just opened in Delray Beach as a sister restaurant to the popular Fit Foodz Cafe in Boca Raton. Both restaurants serve healthful meals in a fast-casual setting, and boast 100% gluten-free menus that make you feel like you are cheating on your diet.

I have had the pleasure of dining at Ripe Delray twice within one week (because I became obsessed the first time I was there for a blogger dinner). The atmosphere is friendly, and the vibe is definitely fit for the cool kids.

I literally cannot put into words how delicious the food is! The menu is spectacular, and you will be shocked that all of the items are truly gluten-free. This is the perfect place for anyone who has celiac’s disease, or whoever wants to eat healthfully without giving up flavor. I know that gluten can cause inflammation, so I am a fan of gluten-free items.

I HAD to return quickly – and bring a gluten-free friend with me – because I knew she would be just as impressed as I was. I’m so glad she loved it as much as I did!

My baby does not look that impressed, but trust me, he chowed down like crazy on the yuca fries, LOL!

Sarah ordered the La Picante burger (the bun is made from tostone), and she said it was so good and fresh.

I ordered the Ahi Tuna Tartar All You Avo-Wanted Bowl, and my baby also sampled some, too! He always hates avocado, but it was seasoned so well he actually ate a few bites of avocado. I was like, wow, even Cameron approves of an item he normally spits out!

We even had a dessert, which was avocado ice cream drizzled with vegan chocolate syrup. The perfect sweet ending to a perfect meal!

I also highly recommend trying the Mushroom Kale Melt, which has bread made out of cauliflower. It is INSANELY good. I had it at the blogger preview dinner.

I met the owner of Ripe Delray and Fit Foodz Cafe, Susan Klein, at the blogger dinner (but I totally did not realize she was the actual owner). When I saw her again, and she identified herself as the owner, I personally got to thank her for making such delicious comfort food that is healthful.

I also plan to try the Fit Foodz Cafe meal delivery service soon, because ya girl is a busy mom and ain’t got time to cook!

Let me know in the comments below what item you are most excited to try!

Thanks for reading!

XO,

~Angela~
