Skincare line founded by mother-daughter Filipinas

My mother is from the Philippines, and I’ve always been proud of my maternal heritage. I believe some my unique beauty aspects, like my nose and hair color, were inherited directly from her!

My mother and me

So imagine my excitement when I learned of a skincare line founded by a mother-daughter duo from the Philippines, Rosalina Tan and Mary Jane Tan-Ong. Pili Ani is a line of essential oils and all natural products, and the name means “chosen harvest.”

Pili Ani is a cruelty free, fair-trade, and sustainable skincare line that uses oils from Pili and Elemi Trees harvested and purchased from local farmers in the Bicol regions of the Philippines. The founders believe in sustainability and transparency. Rosalina has been a pioneer of organic farming in the Philippines and has made it her mission to teach ethical and sustainable practices in the agricultural industry. That’s why the brand purchases from local farmers from the Philippines who practice sustainable techniques that preserve the agriculture in their region.

Pili Ani Self Care Night Recovery Oil and Pili Ani Intense Hydrating Cream

Pili oil is the Philippines’ best-kept beauty secret. It provides intense moisturizing, is rich in antioxidants, high in vitamin E, high in carotenoids and fatty acids, and protects against free radicals and other aggressors that cause skin aging. Likewise, their elemi oil is carefully extracted from elemi trees, ensuring trees remain healthy and unharmed. Elemi oil provides firming and lifting to the skin, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, and is anti-inflammatory.

The Self Care Night Recovery Oil will make your face glow and soft, and will soothe your soul with the gentle fragrance of lavender and evening primrose. The Intense Hydrating Cream is light and perfect for oily skin, and it can even lighten your freckles and hyperpigmentation.

These products would be a fabulous gift for the beautiful Filipina in your life!

Thank you to Pili Ani for sending me products to try. As always, all opinions are my own.
