I’ve been studying photography for a few years now, and one investment I made was to purchase a mirrorless camera for travel from Best Buy. It fit easily in my purse, was durable, and most importantly allowed me to take high-quality images. So you can imagine my excitement when I found out that the company is now offering Best Buy Photography Workshop Tours!

Best Buy Photography Workshop Tours

If you’re like me and consider yourself an intermediate level photographer, then this Saturday, July 28th, you can take a tour in Seattle, San Diego, Houston, Atlanta, Tampa, New York City and Minneapolis. There will also be tours on October 20, 2018 and January 19, 2019. I definitely plan to attend one of these workshops! I can already tell it will be worth it. You can sign-up to be notified when the October and January sessions go live for registration in the fall/winter.

For all of the tours, you can expect a half-day excursion where you’ll get the chance to work with professional photographers and the Best Buy Camera Experience Shop experts to conduct four individual photo shoots. During those shoots, you’ll get to test an try an array of lenses and accessories to truly unleash what’s possible with photography. You will learn to think like a pro and benefit from that expert advice to achieve some amazing photos.
At the end of the day, along with a provided lunch, you’ll get a bag of camera goodies! That right there makes me really excited — not to mention if you share your photos on social media with the hashtag #BestBuyPhotoWorkshops, you’ll be entered to win Best Buy gift cards or a dream photography package!
The events cost $50, but consider the value: you’ll easily make this up with the giveaways, lunch, transportation, and the priceless opportunity to work with pros.
If you don’t feel like you’re quite ready for the Tours, you can start with a FREE in-store photography workshop that’s only two hours long. It will cover the basics of photography, and allow you one-on-one interaction with the Camera Experience Shop Experts to walk through your camera’s settings. For my DSLR camera, it really was helpful for me to gain a better understanding of how it works and what settings give me the looks I desire, so I highly recommend these in-store workshops as free resources.
The Best Buy Camera Experience Shop is like visiting a specialty camera store, right in the middle of your local Best Buy. They have experts who go through intensive photography training, and are all photo enthusiasts themselves. There’s an expanded assortment of cameras, lenses and accessories that you won’t find in other locations, plus you can get hands on with all the cameras to test and try them in the store.
Have you ever checked out the camera section in your local Best Buy? Honestly, that’s the first section I go to when I walk into my closest Best Buy! Comment below with whether you’d consider taking these Tours.
